Lee and Li
James Chen is a partner at Lee and Li in Taiwan. He is a leader of the telecom and media practice group at Lee and Li and has regularly acted as a consultant to regulators in telecom, media law and policy. He has a wide range of practices with a special focus on corporate and investment matters. He specializes in M&A transactions, many of which are cross-border. He has advised China Network Systems in the transactions for sale of related cable systems to MBK, a private equity fund, and Fairchild Semiconductors on the acquisition of System General Corporation, a Taiwan listed company. He has also advised Taiwan Cement, GigaMedia Limited, Far EasTone, PCCW, STATS Chippac, and Sanofi-Aventis in M&A transactions.
James Chen is a graduate in law from the National Taiwan University. He received a LLM degree at Soochow University and a MBA degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan School of Management).
