In parallel with the global transition into the digital media, Asia has seen tremendous growth opportunities in the space --- particularly in the emerging markets such as China and Vietnam. Both global media conglomerates and local start-ups are competing head to head in capturing first-mover advantages, attracted by the gradual increase of internet and mobile penetration, coupled with the technological innovation. However, the future is still yet to be defined given the changing consumer needs, uncertain regulatory influences and piracy problems. What will the media landscape look like over the next 5 years? How would consumers behave on the new media platforms? Where will the high-potential growths come from? Who will become winners? These are all the questions we would like to figure out.
The Internet and Media Panel brings together the industry professionals and academic experts to share their perspectives on these questions. Thanks to their diversified backgrounds, the four panelists would bring in different angles including entrepreneurs, VC investors and established players. They will also speak to various markets such as China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Southeast Asia and so on. The panel will create a dynamic forum to engage ongoing dialogue between speakers and audience who are interested in the media sector.
