Colin Sampson

Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, SAP Asia Pacific & Japan

Colin Sampson has been with SAP for 14 years starting as the Financial Director for Australia and New Zealand. In his current capacity as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Asia Pacific & Japan region, Colin presides over the key field operations functions namely Finance & Administration, Legal, Facilities and Risk Management with responsibilities for all countries in the Asia Pacific & Japan region, supporting an annual revenue base of over €1.5 billion with more than 9,500 employees. He is also responsible for the Singapore based regional shared services centre, which he pioneered the implementation of. As a member of the SAP Asia Pacific & Japan Senior Executive Team, he has contributed to the tremendous growth in the Region despite continuing volatile conditions, which have existed over the past few years.

Having worked with companies such as Honeywell, Pyramid Technology, Memorex Telex and Intergraph Corporation prior to joining SAP, Colin brings with him a wealth of over 25 years of experience in the information technology industry.

Colin is an Australian Qualified Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce and a Post Graduate degree in Accounting, both attained in Johannesburg. He also holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration, attained in Sydney.

A South African born Australian, Colin currently resides in Singapore with his wife. Their two sons are now pursuing tertiary education in Melbourne. When not traveling, Colin spends most of his free time on golf, tennis, running and in the gym.
