Thomas J. Ngo

Thomas J. Ngo is a Director and Equity Portfolio Manager for Indochina Capital, one of Vietnam’s leading investment firm with over $900 million of assets under management across multiple Real Estate and Equities funds. In his capacity as Equity Portfolio Manager, Mr. Ngo is responsible for conducting and overseeing all investment activities in publicly listed and pre-listed Vietnamese companies, private Vietnamese enterprises, and joint ventures between Vietnamese and foreign companies.

Prior to joining Indochina Capital, Mr. Ngo worked at Heritage Partners, a $1.4 billion USD leveraged buyout firm based in Boston, MA specializing in controlled investment in family-owned middle market companies in the US. At Heritage Partners, he was engaged in all aspects of the deal process including: sourcing, valuations, capital structuring, transaction negotiations, due diligence, strategy development, company oversight, and exit strategy.

From 2001-2003, he served as an investment banker with Lehman Brothers in the Financial Sponsors Group focused primarily on leveraged finance and M&A transactions. Mr. Ngo worked closely with a number of West-Coast based leveraged buyout clients including Texas Pacific Group, Apollo Advisors, Leonard Green and Partners, Freeman Spogli, and Hellman and Friedman.

Mr. Ngo received a B.A. from the University of California, Irvine and currently resides in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
